Press and Media

Formation Is A Category.
Here's Everything You Need
To Write About It.

Humeia is early and we'd rather be useful to journalists, podcast hosts and conference
organisers than overstate where we are.

Everything below is accurate as of today.

Boilerplate

The Short Version. Ready to Lift Directly.

Humeia is a two-minute daily practice built to close the gap between what people value and how they actually live under pressure. Not a course, not a habit tracker, a practice held by a Formation Companion that remembers the journey over time. Humeia is currently in its pre-launch phase, with founding membership opening January 2027.

Speaker & Interview One Sheet

Karen Bachmann, founder of humeia

Karen built Humeia after years of meeting people, in therapy rooms and boardrooms alike, who already knew exactly what they valued and still couldn't live it under pressure. That gap between what someone believes and how they actually behave when it counts is the problem Humeia exists to close. She speaks and writes on formation as a practice rather than a program, on the difference between knowing your values and being able to act on them under pressure, and on why judgement, not information, is the actual bottleneck for most people trying to change.

  • Formation as a category, not another wellness trend
  • Why knowing your values doesn't change your behaviour
  • Judgement under pressure as a trainable skill
  • What daily practice can do that a course can't
  • Building a private practice, not a public peformance of character
  • Designing technology that remembers instead of just reminding
